We collect information needed for the service and delete it when its retention purpose ends.

Information collected and purposes
We use identifiers, names, and email addresses verified by sign-in providers, plus profile and event information you enter, to manage accounts and provide the service. Payment, subscription, refund status, and receipt references support order processing and customer support. Public profiles and events are visible to other users.
Public-content safety checks
Public profile text, room descriptions and uploaded images are sent over encrypted connections to Microsoft Azure Content Safety in Japan East and Azure OpenAI in East US for content review. PINs, entry tokens and payment details are excluded. Microsoft Corporation processes this data to deliver the service under its data protection terms; privacy requests can be submitted at msrc.microsoft.com/report/privacy. Azure OpenAI has separate abuse-monitoring review and retention controls. Content Safety does not retain input or train on it. Review previews stored by VR-Gate are encrypted and kept for up to 24 hours and may be removed earlier after a decision. Decision records are deleted after 90 days and resolved complaints after three years, except records subject to separate legal retention obligations. Contact support to request deletion or restricted processing; unreviewed new content may remain unpublished.
Retention periods
Account information is retained while needed to provide the service. Under applicable Korean e-commerce rules, contract and withdrawal records and payment and supply records are each retained for five years; complaint and dispute records for three years; and advertising records for six months. Required records for closed accounts are managed separately from active account information.
Deletion procedure
When the purpose or retention period ends, we identify and delete the information without delay. Electronic files are deleted using methods that prevent recovery; any paper records are shredded or incinerated. Legally required transaction records are deleted after their retention period ends.
Payment information and your rights
Enter card information only on the chosen provider's official screen (Paddle or Toss Payments). VR-Gate does not request card numbers, VRChat passwords, or private keys. Contact support to request access, correction, deletion, or restricted processing, or request account closure in your account. CEO Yeonjun Lee is the privacy officer.
